Rebuilding a financial services website for clarity and control
Strategy
- Website rebuild
A financial-services business needed a clearer customer journey and a website that would be easier to maintain as its needs evolved. ComCreate contributed engineering to the rebuild as part of a broader delivery effort. The work to date has established a reviewable foundation: responsive pages built from shared components, a more structured intake experience and clearer connections between customer inputs and the logic behind them.
The early implementation needed more consistent interactions and a stronger basis for ongoing development. Its functioning backend, content management and lead pipeline were worth preserving and extending. An audit identified leftover template content, material that needed review, calculation input defects and controls without clear labels. Broken tests also made it harder to verify important behavior as changes were made. The task was to improve the customer-facing experience while retaining useful existing capabilities. The intended setup also needed to keep the business in control of its accounts and future operation.
A consistent experience across screens
We developed responsive pages and reusable interface components so common elements could be maintained consistently. Mobile sections were adapted for smaller screens, including expandable content with keyboard support. Reduced-motion handling was included for visitors who prefer less animation. Shared components give the delivery team a common starting point for future updates, rather than requiring the same interaction to be recreated on each page.
A clearer path through customer intake
We built a multi-step intake experience with validation and a summary of the facts a visitor entered. Missing or invalid information is flagged during the journey, and visitors can review what they have provided. Calculation logic was consolidated into functions that can be tested independently of the interface. Assumptions and missing-answer handling were made explicit, giving reviewers a clearer view of how inputs affect outputs and where a change needs to be checked.
More deliberate inquiry handling
We added contact-form delivery handling, visible error states and a route to retry failed submissions. The work also established defined connection points for existing systems, including a configurable route for passing consented inquiry information into a customer relationship management system. Keeping these connections distinct from the pages makes it easier to review the customer experience and integration requirements separately.
Repeatable checks for ongoing development
The rebuild was accompanied by automated behavior tests and browser and mobile checks. These give the team repeatable ways to examine important interactions as the implementation changes, with clearer evidence for review than a page demonstration alone.
The rebuild now has a more maintainable structure, with shared components, independently testable logic and explicit handling for incomplete inputs and failed submissions. These are concrete changes to how the implementation can be reviewed and developed further. The work also creates a clearer distinction between the website experience and the systems it will connect to. This helps the delivery team identify what is ready for review and what still depends on integration or approval.
The next phase is to complete approved connections to live content, data and customer-management systems, confirm analytics and any follow-up automation, and verify the full inquiry journey in its intended environment. The results described here reflect development and protected testing. Live integrations and production release remain separate approval and verification steps; conversion, revenue and operational improvements have not yet been measured. If an early website implementation is becoming difficult to maintain, ComCreate can help assess what to retain, what to rebuild and what needs verification before launch.
A more maintainable foundation for review and further integration.
