Website redesign services

Website redesign services that keep what already works

Your current website has problems, but it also has assets: pages that rank, URLs that other sites link to, tracking history, and customers who know where to find you. A careless redesign throws those away and calls it progress. We inventory what your site has earned before we change a single page, then rebuild the parts that are costing you calls.

  • King Roofing: desktop load time cut from 14.1 seconds to 2.3 seconds
  • King Roofing: Lighthouse performance score from 53 to 93
  • BNC Builders: PageSpeed 71 to 94 across a 40-page rebuild

Where it gets stuck

A clear problem is enough to start.

  • Slow pages that lose the visitor before the headline renders.
  • A structure that grew without a plan, with important pages buried three clicks deep.
  • A design that no longer matches the business you run today.
  • Broken or missing tracking that cannot answer where a call came from.
  • A site nobody on your team can update without a developer.

What the work can include

The pieces are scoped before the work begins.

01

Full inventory of the current site: pages, URLs, forms, analytics, and search traffic

02

New information architecture and responsive design built around your current services

03

One-to-one 301 redirect map for every URL that changes, never a blanket redirect

04

Analytics continuity and test-fired conversion tracking before launch

05

New sitemap, Search Console verification, and post-launch crawl and rank monitoring

06

A site your team can edit, with training included

Process

Understand it. Build it. Check it.

01

Inventory the current site

We identify the pages, URLs, forms, analytics, and search traffic that need to survive the redesign. You get the inventory document; it is worth having even if you never hire us.

02

Rebuild around the customer

The new structure gives each service and audience a clear place, without carrying forward every old layout decision. Copy, proof, and calls to action are planned together.

03

Move with a redirect plan

Before launch we map changed URLs, verify tracking, and crawl the new build. The migration checklist is executed line by line and shared with you at launch.

04

Watch the switch

After launch we monitor crawl status, rankings, and conversion tracking through the settling period, and fix anything that moves the wrong way.

What is at stake

What website redesign services should protect

Most redesign horror stories follow the same script. A business hires an agency, the new site launches, it looks great, and then the phone goes quiet. Rankings drop. Old links break. The contact form fires into a mailbox nobody checks. Six months later the owner is paying for SEO to win back positions the old site already had.

None of that is bad luck. It happens when a redesign treats the old site as garbage instead of as a ledger of earned assets:

  • URLs that rank. Every indexed page with search traffic is an asset. Delete or move it without a redirect and Google treats it as gone.
  • Backlinks. Other sites linking to specific pages of yours pass authority. Break the URL, lose the value.
  • Tracking history. Your analytics baseline is how you will know whether the redesign worked. Reset it and you are flying blind.
  • Customer habits. Bookmarks, saved links, the URL printed on your trucks and invoices. They all need to keep working.

A proper redesign starts with an inventory of all four, and the launch plan is built around not losing them. That is the difference between website redesign services and someone selling you a new theme.

Redesign vs rebuild

Website redesign or website rebuild: which one do you need?

The words get used interchangeably, but the distinction matters for scope and price.

A redesign keeps most of your content and structure and replaces the design layer: layout, visuals, navigation, mobile behavior. It fits sites where the bones are good but the presentation is dated.

A rebuild replaces the site's foundation: new platform, new templates, usually new content, with the old site serving as raw material rather than a base. A website rebuild is the right call when the site is slow at the platform level, impossible to edit, or built on a page builder that fights every change.

Most projects we see need a rebuild sold as a redesign. That is fine; the protective work is identical either way. We inventory the current site, we map every URL, and we migrate what has value regardless of which label is on the proposal. If you are not sure which you need, send us the site and we will tell you honestly, including when the answer is "keep the platform and fix five things."

The checklist

The migration checklist we run on every redesign

This is the unglamorous part that separates a safe redesign from an expensive one. We run it on every project, and we share the completed checklist with you at launch.

  1. Full URL inventory. Every indexed page, its traffic, and its rankings, pulled from Google Search Console and crawl data before anything changes.
  2. Redirect map. Every URL that changes gets a one-to-one 301 redirect to its new home. No blanket redirects to the homepage, which throw away page-level rankings.
  3. Content review before deletion. Pages are only dropped after we check what they rank for and what links to them. "Nobody looks at that page" is not data.
  4. Analytics continuity. GA4 and tracking carry over so your history stays intact and the before/after comparison is real.
  5. Conversion tracking verification. Every call button, form, and tracking number is test-fired on the new site before launch.
  6. Google Search Console and sitemap. New sitemap submitted, Search Console verified, and crawl errors monitored daily for the first weeks after launch.
  7. Google Business Profile and citations. If URLs change, every listing that points at your site gets updated.
  8. Post-launch crawl and rank watch. We re-crawl the site after launch and watch rankings on your money pages, so a problem gets caught in days, not quarters.

Skip any one of these and the failure is silent. Rankings do not drop the day after launch; they bleed out over weeks, and by the time anyone notices, the trail is cold. Running the checklist line by line is how BNC Builders came through a 40-page rebuild holding the #1 spot in Google for exterior remodeling Escondido.

Show the work

A website redesign company that shows its work

Any website redesign company can show you a before-and-after screenshot. Ask for the before-and-after numbers and the room gets quiet.

We publish ours: load times, PageSpeed scores, rankings held and gained, with named clients you can look up. King Roofing came to us with a 14.1 second desktop load time; the rebuild cut it to 2.3 seconds and took the Lighthouse performance score from 53 to 93. And on every project, you get the artifacts as we go: the URL inventory, the redirect map, the completed migration checklist, the post-launch crawl report. If we ever part ways, those documents make your site safer for whoever comes next.

One more difference: we also run Google Ads and local SEO for the kinds of businesses we build for. A redesign from us is built to be advertised and ranked on, not just admired.

Pricing

Redesigns start at $3,500.

Redesign projects start at $3,500, which covers the site inventory, new design and build, redirect map, tracking verification, and post-launch monitoring for a typical small business site. Larger sites, e-commerce, or heavy integrations move the number, and the proposal itemizes exactly what does. Most redesigns run 4 to 7 weeks depending on site size and how much content carries over.
