01 / Context

Casita Azul

Casita Azul is a Portland, Oregon education family built around Spanish immersion. What began as a preschool has grown into four distinct programs: a multi-location preschool, a K-5 immersion school (Spanish Horizons Academy), a kids' cooking studio (Cocinarte), and a bilingual camp (Camp Alegria). Each one serves different families and needs to look and feel like its own brand, while the team behind them needs one simple way to run all four.

02 / Challenge

Four Programs, Four Audiences, One Team

Casita Azul had grown from a single preschool into a family of programs: a multi-location preschool, a K-5 immersion school, a kids' cooking studio, and a bilingual camp. Each speaks to a different audience and needs its own identity, but the team needed one consistent way to handle enrollment, payments, and parent communication across all of them, without learning four different systems.

03 / Approach

Distinct Front Ends, One Shared Foundation

We designed and built four separate websites, each with its own brand, voice, and imagery, on the same technical foundation: Next.js, Supabase, Stripe, and automated email. Shared building blocks cover parent accounts, multi-child profiles, online payments, coupons, invoicing, and admin dashboards. Each site adapts those pieces to its program while giving families a consistent experience and the team one operating model.

04 / Background

One family of schools, four front doors.

Casita Azul started as a Spanish-immersion preschool in Portland and grew into a family of programs. Today that family includes a multi-location preschool, a K-5 immersion school, a kids' cooking studio, and a bilingual camp. Each one reaches different families, so each one needed to look and speak like its own brand, not like four copies of the same template.

05 / Casita Azul

The flagship: a Spanish-immersion preschool.

Casita Azul is the heart of the family: a Spanish-immersion preschool and daycare with locations across the Portland metro. Its site is warm, welcoming, and fully bilingual, designed to introduce families to the program and carry them from first curiosity to a scheduled visit.

06 / Spanish Horizons Academy

Growing up: a K-5 immersion school.

When families outgrow preschool, Spanish Horizons Academy continues the journey: a K-5 Spanish-immersion school in Hillsboro rooted in Expeditionary Learning. The site has a more grown-up, academic feel to match, and it runs the whole admissions experience online, from first interest through application and interview.

07 / Cocinarte

Hands in the masa: a kids' cooking studio.

Cocinarte is a Latin-rooted cooking studio where kids discover the joy of cooking. The site is bright and full of personality, and it does real work behind the fun: families can explore classes and book online, and the studio takes birthday parties and private events with their own custom menus.

08 / Camp Alegria

Summer, all year: a bilingual camp.

Camp Alegria brings the family's energy into camp season with joyful, hands-on programs for kids ages 5 to 12, from cooking and art to music, movement, and sports. The site is the most spirited of the four, and it makes finding and signing up for a camp simple from start to finish.

09 / One Platform

Four identities, one operating system.

The four sites run on the same foundation: Next.js, Supabase, Stripe, and automated email. Each brand uses shared building blocks for parent accounts, online payments, coupons, invoicing, and admin dashboards. Class bookings, applications, and camp sign-ups follow the same operating model, so the team learns one system and parents get a consistent experience.
